What We Believe

The Bible is the inspired Word of God and is the final authority for faith and life.
(II Timothy 3:15-17, II Peter 1:19-21)

God is One Being eternally existing in three persons: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
He is the Creator and sovereign ruler of the universe, righteous in all His ways and holy in all His works.
God created man in his image and likeness; that Adam sinned and that by his disobedience
the entire human race was alienated from God. As a result, we are all depraved and our sins
prevent us from entering God’s eternal kingdom.
(Genesis 2:7; Genesis 1:26-27; Romans 5:12; Romans 3:10-12, 23; I John 1:8)

Jesus Christ is the eternal begotten Son of God, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the
Virgin Mary—fully God—fully man. Jesus lived a sinless life obeying God perfectly, died for our
sins on the cross, rose again from the dead, and has returned to heaven, exalted at the right hand of God.
(Matthew 1:18-21; John 1:1-2, 14; Philippians 2:6-9; Hebrews 4:15; Romans 5:8; Acts 1:3, 11; Acts 5:30-32)

Forgiveness of our sins is a free gift offered by God through His grace and is personally received
by repentance from sin and by faith in Jesus Christ and His finished work on the cross.
(Ephesians 2:8-9; Mark 1:15, Acts 20:21; Romans 3:22-25; Acts 4:12)

The ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ.  During this age, He convicts
men (and women) of sin and judgment; and indwells, guides, instructs, and empowers the believer for godly living and service.
(John 16:8-15; Ephesians 1:13-14; Galatians 5:22-23; I Corinthians 12:4-12)

The Lord Jesus Christ will personally return in glory and triumph for the final judgment of believers to everlasting
blessedness and of unbelievers to eternal punishment.
(II Thessalonians 1:6-10; Revelation 20:11-15, 21:1-7; Matthew 25:31-46)

Baptism and the Lord’s Supper are commanded by Jesus Christ to be practiced by the Church. We also recognize
there are many different practices among true believers today concerning these 2 ordinances.
(Matthew 28:19, Luke 22:17-20)
